Hello! I’m Melanie House of Coddington, a passionate educator with over 20 years of experience teaching literacy and reading skills to students. Stories have always been at the heart of my teaching, and my background in theater has only deepened my appreciation for the power of storytelling. Whether it’s a riveting performance on stage or an unforgettable movie on the big screen, great stories have a way of connecting us, inspiring us, and sparking our imaginations.

This love of storytelling is what inspired me to create this website. Here, I’ve curated a collection of some of my favorite animated short films, organized into specific categories to make exploring them easy and enjoyable. Many of these films come with story prompts to encourage creative writing and deeper engagement. Whenever you see a green button link, it means a prompt is available for that film.
